About
Toby Collman
Toby Collman is a UK author whose writing is rooted in survival, trauma, and generational healing. His debut work, Inner Child, The Soldier, and The Dad, began as a raw, three-voice memoir written during a period of intense self-reflection and emotional recovery. It became the blueprint for Toby’s healing — a way to finally give language to the child he was, the “soldier” he became, and the father he is now. The response to that book, and the clarity it gave him, led Toby to separate his life story into a dedicated trilogy. Each book now explores one stage of his life with deeper honesty and narrative detail. The first volume, The Inner Child, reveals the early years — violence, abandonment, the first cracks in innocence, and the birth of the coping mechanisms that shaped everything that followed. Toby writes to break silence. He writes to break cycles. And he writes so his daughter will grow up knowing the truth — not the version he survived, but the one he is building now.
