Y. Blak Moore is a lifelong Chicago resident. He is an author, mentor, poet and t-shirt designer for Elemental Apparel. In his books he is always determined to bring the terrible beauty and ugliness that is our city to life. He neither glorifies the violence and subhuman conditions that some of us find ourselves living in or next to, he simply states, "It is what it is".
