The Author My name is Tyra Lee. I am a performing artist, a writer and Illustrator. There is never a time when I don’t remember creating. As soon as I could hold a pencil I began to draw, create characters and tell their stories. I created my first character “Lola” in kindergarten and began a whole comic series on her and her friends. “Journeys with Lola” is incredibly personal to me as I write about my personal experiences and goals in everything Lola does. Essentially Lola is me and the resistance she faces and the help she receives is what is or has transpired in my life.
