I've been an artist my entire life and previously worked as a certified color specialist within the beauty, fashion, and interior design industry (among many other things). While I was growing up, my mother worked at a local bookshop that specialized in rare and collectible books. I spent many hours perusing the aisles, and it fostered my love of book collecting. Even though we live in a high-paced, digital age, I am a firm believer that books still have their place. They are endless sources of knowledge and inspiration. They offer something special that online articles and blog posts can't... Solar Spectrum Press grew from a simple truth: artists deserve access to the knowledge that shaped the generations before us. Many of these books vanished from circulation, even though their ideas haven’t lost relevance. We bring them back so they can live in classrooms, studios, and well-loved backpacks again.
