About
Alexander G. Vargas

Alexander G. Vargas is a Welsh author and creative producer born in Gwynedd in 1986. His work spans factual nonfiction, fiction, music and visual storytelling, with recurring interests in history, evidence, institutions, memory and the ways records shape what people accept as true. His nonfiction draws on professional experience in security, technology and public protection. From Lock and Key to Martyn’s Law: The Evolution of Security, Technology and Public Protection traces the development of security from custodial control and watch functions through professional regulation, electronic systems and modern public-protection responsibilities. His fiction explores official histories, incomplete evidence, institutional silence and the distance between what happened and what survives in the record. He is also co-creator of the independent music project Vargas & Hudson. Alexander is a Guinness World Records title holder, holds honorary doctorates in Metaphysics and Divinity from the Universal Life Church, and volunteers with the Army Cadet Force, helping young people build leadership, confidence, resilience, life skills and discipline.
