David was born in Dumfries, Scotland, and lived for much of his youth in Lockerbie. A teaching career, a lifelong interest in stage magic and the writings of American Author, John Dickson Carr, kindled his interest in writing. He is a member of the Society of American Magicians and now lives in Fort William. Proceeds of book will go to Alzheimer carers.
