About
Victoria M Burris

Victoria M. Burris is an author, chef, advocate, and mother whose work is rooted in resilience, family, and the power of authentic storytelling. Through memoir, poetry, children's literature, cookbooks, and inspirational nonfiction, she explores themes of hope, healing, love, and the experiences that connect us all. Inspired by her family's journey after her son was born with a complex congenital heart defect (Double Inlet Left Ventricle, or DILV), Victoria writes with honesty and compassion, believing that every story has the power to educate, encourage, and remind others they are not alone. As a chef, she also celebrates the way food brings people together. Her cookbooks feature approachable recipes that encourage readers to create meaningful memories around the table. Beyond writing, Victoria is a dedicated advocate for congenital heart defect awareness, lifelong CHD research, neurodevelopmental research, and improved support for families. She actively supports fundraising efforts for The Children's Heart Foundation and uses her voice to inspire change through education and advocacy. Victoria lives in New York with her family, where she continues to write stories that foster connection, compassion, and hope.
