About
Krisztina Samu

I’m a Hawaii-licensed acupuncturist, practicing since 2011. My training began at the Traditional Medical College of Hawaii (now closed), where I studied the foundations of Oriental medicine. I continued my journey with advanced training in Seitai Shinpo Japanese acupuncture, earning a Silver Certificate. My work is rooted in personal experience. At 24, I experienced a traumatic event that set me on the path from victim, to survivor, to healer. Through years of study, practice & healing, I discovered that trauma, like a broken bone, can be treated and supported by combining traditional talk therapy with alternative modalities like acupuncture. This understanding became the heart of Project Acuhope, a space dedicated to offering survivors tools, resources, and hope. It is also the inspiration for my book: Ways of Renewal: a Guidebook for Women. My passion is to help bring people to wholeness through Eastern medicine and energetic healing.
