Carol Talbot
Carol Talbot was born in Windsor, Ontario, graduated from McMaster University and is a retired high school English teacher. Her publishing history includes a book, Growing Up Black in Canada, several poems, a graphic story, a book review and a short story in Fiery Spirits and Voices. She earned Theatre Fountainhead’s New Playwright’s Award for “The Gathering” and wrote and produced a play for Black History Month at Laurier SS, London Ontario, which was subsequently broadcast by Rogers Community Television. As an adjunct to her writing experience, Carol has served as jury member for the Canada Arts Council and acted as a judge for the Lawson Writing Contest (for grade eight students in London) and the London Magazine’s short story contest.
