Hastings Lemi Surur
Hastings Lemi Surur is a free lance educator from South Sudan with strong experience in the humanitarian-development nexus. He holds an MA Degree in Applied Educational Leadership and Management from the University of London. He served as an Education Specialist with UNICEF South Sudan Program for over ten years and contributed immensely in building the capacity of unqualified teachers through tailored designed programs. He also worked as a Course Writer/Lecturer and subsequently as head of the Distance Teacher Education Unit at the Institute of Development, Environment and Agricultural Studies. During his 3-year tenure at the “IDEAS”, he oversaw the development of English Language course materials for all stages of the Distance Teacher Education Unit with some technical support from the Batchelor Institute of Indigenous Tertiary Education. He is currently serving as the Dean of School of Education at St Mary’s University College.
