The year was 1991. A great rift opened up the earth's crust from the Indian Ocean to the North Pacific Ocean, swallowing Japan and much of eastern China. This rift was called the Gekihen. This event was so cataclysmic, it altered the earth's poles; lands that were once inhabitable are now either underwater or frozen wastelands. Only one place remains to sustain human life, North America. Now, half the size it was before the Gekihen, North America is called the Beikoku Desert. It is host to villiany from the Akuma Gaijin clan, the Mononoke Collective's bitter rivals. This is one part of that story.
