Far beyond Earth, on the mysterious Planet Thoom, a strange little alien named Tony is entrusted with protecting an incredibly powerful object known as the Ultimate Power. Knowing it must never fall into the wrong hands, Tony leaves his home behind and begins a journey across space in search of somewhere safe to hide it. After years of traveling, Tony discovers Earth. But his arrival doesn't exactly go according to plan. Tony crash-lands near Gonzales, Texas, swallows the Ultimate Power to keep it hidden, and wanders into town hoping to understand this strange new planet. Instead, his unusual appearance immediately causes panic. With the police after him and nowhere else to go, Tony escapes underground and eventually finds his way into the home of a young woman named Justine. At first, Justine has absolutely no idea what to make of the short, purple extraterrestrial hiding in her house. But after Tony explains where he came from and why he has nowhere else to go, she decides to help him. She gives Tony food, introduces him to some of Earth's entertainment, and lays down a few important rules if he's going to stay with her. For the first time since leaving Planet Thoom, Tony begins to feel like he might have found somewhere he belongs. But Tony doesn't realize that his arrival hasn't gone unnoticed. At a secret military facility, the ambitious Dr. Alistair Throne learns about reports of a strange extraterrestrial in Gonzales. Determined to capture Tony and study him, Throne begins searching for Earth's mysterious new visitor. Tony may have found a new home, but his adventure—and the trouble following him—has only just begun.
