This a novel that tells about the last two years of the monarch and the first nine years of the Republic regime in Egypt. It tells about an aristocrat who supported the revolurion against the will of his father. The woman who loved him insisted to marry him after both had married different partners. Between love and policy and between conservative Egyptians and the liberalism of the fifties and sixties many dillemas reformed the life of the Egyptians.
