Book 16 - Can We Survive

The last radio broadcast we ever heard ended with a scream. After that there was only static. By then most of the world was already gone. The bird flu had swept through cities and towns like wildfire through dry grass, leaving silence in its wake. We were six strangers when we first met. An explorer, a sailor, a mechanic, a doctor, a nurse, and a young electrician. None of us expected that one day we would steal a yacht and sail across the most dangerous waters in the southern hemisphere in search of a place where humanity might begin again.
