This collection of eleven short pieces for piano is based on sonorities of the works of Erik Satie, specially the “Sports et Divertissements”. Every piece represents a different element or thing, like a hole or crack (“Sima”), the dawn (“Amanecer”), the Madrid dance called “Chotis”, a wild blues (“Cannibal Blues”), a very light textile (“Tul”), a ferris wheel (“Noria”), a small character of a tale (“Gnomo”), the murmur of a river ("Rumor"), or a butterfly flying (“Mariposa”). The suite starts with a short "Prelude" that is varied a little time after ("Variación"). It was my first work for piano, inaugurating my catalog, and was written in 1997.
