The effect of shading of P-V and I-V curve on solar PV module and also clarified the fundamental mechanism of reduction in output power under shading condition in series and parallel connection. It is cleared that the reduction of power depends upon the shaded area or cell of solar PV panel and this investigation was illustrated by experimental data. In this experiment series connection and parallel connection, power is compared to under the different hard shading condition and also presented the improvement in power under shading condition using bypass diode in series connection. This study also evaluates that maximum power can be obtained from parallel-connected solar PV modules. By installing the modules in locations without any obstruction will be preferable. Thus, if the shade is not avoidable it is advisable to install PV modules in such a way that the modules are shaded along their length-side instead of their breath-side to minimize effect of shading on the performance of PV system.
