On God and Creation

Adam is a loner on an odyssey, a spiritual quest for God and the truth. Father Camillus is a professed Benedictine monk who seeks to help Adam arrive at his destination. This book takes the form of a long and profound dialogue between the two characters, who talk about Adam's unsatisfied hunger for romantic love and how God can satisfy that need on a spiritual level. They go on to discuss the deification of the human being in eternity, in which human nature mystically participates in God's divine life, as well as the creation of universes by God in cooperation with deified men and women. The discussion leads into the idea of the unification of universes into a "supercosmos" called the Great Universe, the physical dimension of Heaven. Cantor's Theorem is invoked to provide mathematical support for the idea of multiple universes. Also included in the dialogue is an ontological argument for the existence of intelligent extraterrestrial life, speculations about the possible natures of intelligent extraterrestrial beings, the status of their spiritual lives and their supernatural, eternal destinies.
