This book covers the life of DONALD IRWIN born January 1891 in Philadelphia. His parents were Sarah (Clement) and Samuel Floyd Irwin. At 16 Donald Irwin went to work at L. H. Parke Company in Philadelphia. At 28 he became a vice president of the company and in 1935 the senior stockholder and president. He worked at the company for over 58 years. During that period the company purchased a competitor in both Philadelphia and Pittsburgh and additional two companies in Washington DC and a company_ in Richmond, Va and in Albany,New York. In 1915 Donald married Jessie E. Dittrich. They had four sons: Donald Irwin Jr, Edwin W. Irwin, Howard A. Irwin and James M. Irwin - all of whom worked at L. H. Parke Co.
