Oyèla and the Wolves

FREE DOWNLOAD. This is an extract, translated by the author, from a novel published on Lulu in Italian. It can be read as a short novel. Two main themes converge into the plot: a story of witch-hunt in the Alpine range at the middle of the sixteenth century and the natural history of a pack of wolves. These animals do not act like humans, they do not talk or behave like wolves are supposed to do in fantasy stories. Yet they come into conflict with a Dominican inquisitor and are put on trial for the crime of being wolves, that is tools of the Devil, and demons themselves.
