Beatific Toast

In her second collection of poems, Anna Forsyth delves into the spaces where the mundane meets the divine. Anna touches on her life growing up with a sense of faith, with themes of prayer woven through the work. The vignettes in many of the poems here are a reflection of Anna's love of storytelling and her work as a fiction writer. Then, we see her love of music, reflected in her lyricism and the smattering of poems relating to conducting and singing. The poems contained in this book are succinct and poignant, leaving the reader wanting more.
