The Road to Myself

The Road to Myself is a candid and deeply reflective memoir of longing, desire, family, loss, and late-found peace. Moving from post-war England through boarding schools, hotels, marriages, affairs, yachts, and eventual life in the Philippines, Peter Anthony traces the restless search that shaped him: the search to be seen, to be loved, and to belong. Honest about failure as well as tenderness, the book follows a life marked by hunger, reinvention, and hard-won self-knowledge. In the end, it becomes the story not of a man who conquered the world, but of one who finally came home to love, family, and himself.
