An Eye for an Eye

Anthony Trollope (24 April 1815 – 6 December 1882) was one of the most successful, prolific and respected English novelists of the Victorian era. An eye for an eye is a novel by Anthony Trollope, published in 1878. The story takes place in Ireland, as well as five other novels of the author, although most of the novel takes place at Scroope Manor in Dorsetshire, the ancestral home of the ageing Earl of Scroope. The story revolves around a broken promise between two lovers, and the biblical phrase: An Eye for an Eye.
