The Watcher

Lorraine Salter, RN, works nights in a small Michigan Hospital. Although challenging, the pay is good, and coworkers friendly, especially handsome Ryan, ICU RN. Lorraine has no appetite for romance, choosing to lose herself in work instead. Night after night, eerie occurrences cause Lorraine to wonder if the hospital is haunted. She grows disheartened when meetings with her boss become increasingly confrontational. Then, disturbing medical news and fateful events spur Lorraine to return home. Set against the backdrop of Michigan’s breathtaking Upper Peninsula, she becomes Private Nurse to Hattie, ninety-nine year old Keeper of Fireside Point Lighthouse. With family nearby, Lorraine feels renewed enthusiasm for life. Before long, creepy events make her wonder if the Lighthouse is also haunted. She first questions her sanity, then as news trickles in of women either assaulted or missing, she fears for her safety. Enter, ruggedly handsome Trevor, Coast Guardsman and closet paranormal investigator. Together they discover that women went missing from this area over one hundred years ago, including the previous Lightkeeper, Sadie. What caused her to disappear from the very Lighthouse Lorraine now lives and works in? Was moving back home a mistake? All Lorraine wanted was a fresh start with a new life, but what if she unwittingly brought something with her? What if she’d activated something that’d slept for over one hundred years? Something sinister?
