Hydrogen didn’t know what to do. She had insulted her family and chose a lifestyle of vice because it felt good? Because if felt right? No. Because she truly was convinced in her own mind that her lifestyle as well as her choice to be Altera was justified. She also firmly believed her Altera path was equivalent to a non-Altera path. But if that were true and if what she believed was binding, why was she cut off from her family? Why was she fighting so hard to reserve her beliefs if her stance was holy? Hydrogen grew up in a Griffin fearing home, she knew the Holy Scriptures very well and honestly, she did not see why Griffin would send her to Hell for being Altera. It didn’t make any sense. For now, starting over with Carbon, her best friend would be a good place to think about these troubling thoughts as she prepares her mind and body to enter the Proving Trials to see if she can become Jusook’s next Quaddra.
