The Nightingale

This is a novel about a young, female cadet's first encounter with the combative nature of a foot patrol. The beauty of The Nightingale is its prose, which is both poetic and combative like the sharp kick of a curb stomp. There are high speed chases, full head on collisions, and side-wrenching gut punches with fairly good punch lines.
