Columbus and the New World

As three small ships sailed westward that morning in 1492AD, few who watched ever expected to see the sailors again; must less would they have believed that centuries later the captain’s name would be on the lips of every school child. This is the story of the man Columbus, the young shipwrecked sailor seeing for the first time his purpose in life in exploring the world and bringing the Catholic faith to the far west.
