The Ties That Bind

Peggy Gerrittsen, a troubled housewife with a repressed memory, returns with her family to the place of her childhood when she inherits her grandmother's home. It seems relocating from Texas was a good move until they meet Dave, their tenant. At first, Peggy is disturbingly attracted to him. When he eventually climbs into her bed in the dark, her nightmare becomes a reality. What follows is a case of psychological blackmail that will swing the door to her past wide open and drive her to the brink of sanity. Her family does not understand her erratic behavior. Her tormentor, Dave, is a serial killer that delights in the exploitation of women. The idea of torturing one of his victims long term fascinates him. He is determined to play the cat and mouse game to the end. This story is told from five perspectives: Peggy, Jay, Jamie, her grandmother and of course, the sinister Dave. It begs to answer the question: could a family really survive anything? Can love conquer all?
