After twenty-five years of working for Dugan Wholesalers, Melody Long can't take it any longer. She retires after confrontation with her boss and his mistress. Attempts start of her life and as she struggles to find clues to solve the mystery other events are taking shape at Dugan's corporate offices. Together with George Mundy, the security guard from her apartment building and the local Homicide Detective, Bradly Newberry,she sets out to find answers to murder, attempted murder, deceit, betrayal,corporate misdeeds.
