This new, complete, and accessible rendering of the Theravada Monastic Law into English keeps the true users of the Vinaya in mind, that is, the monastics who live their lives according to these scriptures. To this end, the text is both meaningful and easy to read, with the objective of producing an easy-to-use guide that finds a balance between formality and natural spoken language. This first volume consists of the first half of the rules for monks.
