Searching for different ways of expressing the same word is like opening a box of chocolates – you just never know what you’re going to get. This is especially the case for bathroom-related words, and is more exaggerated by the liveliness of the American language and culture. For instance, if a friend tells you they’re about to “visit the office real quick,” you may be confused as to what they’re talking about unless you know that this is another way of saying they need to use the restroom and will return shortly.
