The More Perfect Way

Early in the first century, Satan cast a wide net over the fledgling church in an attempt to smother it before it could grow, yet the persecutions themselves seemed to promote growth, and many converts were added to the church daily. In short order the church turned the world upside down for Christ, and Satan was forced to change his tactics. If he could not prevent the spread of the Gospel, then he would corrupt its message with false prophets and teachers. The church has struggled ever since to strip away false doctrine and to return to the purity of the first century church. It has come a long way and it has a great deal of truth, but could it be possible that layers of Satan’s deception continue to remain?
