A West African Summer

Naïve young journalist Christian Cummins heads to West Africa looking for an exotic adventure. Between Ghana’s capital Accra and the remote mud brick villages of Mali he encounters many mishaps including passing out in taxis and being threatened with the devil, but also becomes intoxicated by the unpredictability, vibrancy and joyfulness of African life. It’s an experience that literally gets into his blood. Based on a hand-written diary, this is a coming-of-age story set during a tumultuous, hot summer.
