We were camping and hiking in the Barguzin range, the mountians to the east of Lake Baikal. We needed to get back to town, so we walked the 35 kilometers back to Kurumkhan. I started thinking about Tate Shaw's idea that reading a book is like walking, an odd rhythmic motion.
