Cath's Regression

Cath is just a young woman, bright, capable, and outwardly stable — until she falls asleep. Every night her mind slips thousands of years into the past, and she becomes T’Ju, a prehistoric woman navigating hunger, danger, and tribal survival. The regressions feel real: the cold on her skin, the weight of a stone tool in her hand, the instinct to fight or flee. And sometimes those instincts erupt in her sleeping body.
Relationships don’t survive it. Boyfriends wake to Cath thrashing, striking out, or speaking in a language no one recognises. They call her unstable. They leave. Cath learns to live alone, terrified of what she might do in the dark.
Then she meets John.
John doesn’t run. He listens. He stays. And when Cath finally trusts him enough to reveal the truth, he doesn’t dismiss her or try to explain it away. Instead, he helps her seek answers. Together they turn to a hypnotherapist, hoping to understand why Cath’s mind keeps dragging her back to T’Ju’s world — and what unfinished story her subconscious is trying to resolve.
As the sessions deepen, Cath begins to uncover the emotional threads binding her to the past. T’Ju’s life unfolds in fragments: her tribe, her fears, her losses, and the moment everything changed. Each revelation brings Cath closer to understanding herself — and closer to the truth she has been reliving night after night.
But the regressions are intensifying, and Cath and John must follow the trail to its end before the past overwhelms her present.
