A collaboration of painting and poetry in which the bed is depicted as icon, as locus, the central scene where varying characters enact their dramas. Sappho’s is the voice, an index of fragmentation. This work contains her archives, preserving the space behind closed doors, lost for centuries, recently retrieved and reinvented.
