Each one of them has a story to tell about how Jesus came into their lives. No matter what life was like before, when they asked Jesus into their hearts, their lives changed. And, there are other colorful characters that make Kitchen Harbor a wonderful place – Biscuit Head Harris, Paco Taco, Suzi Sushi, Wishbone Perkins, LaSage Dressin, Nana Puddin, Tata Salada, and others. The good folks of Kitchen Harbor will open their hearts and share their town and their lives with you. They will also share their recipes with you. At the end of each story you will find recipes for each Soul Food Buddy. Get with your parents or other responsible adults and make the tasty dishes that inspired each Soul Food Buddy and have been a part of African American culture for over 300 years.
