TEARS, HOT AS FIRE

Tinofa, freedom fighter, returns home at last to find his father a broken man and his village burnt for no other reason than their support for the liberation war effort. The fledgling nation struggles to find its identity in the context of democracy, economic emancipation, and national unity, as a civil conflict looms. Set against this backdrop, Tinofa’s efforts to rebuild his own life mirror those of his country to restore itself. He finds love in the arms of Delora. But his journey of duty takes him where his path crosses that of Delora’s brother who will have more than just one hand in determining Tinofa’s future and that of the dream of peace on a grander scale.
