Jingle is to become the new Spirit of Christmas, if he passes one final test. He must choose a single soul, who needs the Christmas Spirit the most, and bring such to his heart.
He is taken to a small Edwardian village, devastated by a recent Civil War, where all the residents have too many worries to remember Christmas.
