Peter Paulson and the Pierce Arrow

Peter Paulson loves cars and spends his afternoons and weekends helping out at Andy's garage. Now there's a new car in Mapleton, the famed Pierce Arrow Silver Arrow, a gleaming gray beauty built for speed. There's nothing else like it in town, and Peter dreams of working on the car with his mentor Andy, and maybe even getting a ride. But the Silver Arrow is owned by the one person in Mapleton who is least likely to allow Peter to help work on it. Mrs. Mallory has had several run-ins with Peter. Even worse, his interest in cars has now gotten Peter into trouble at school and home, and there's no telling if he'll be able to keep working at Andy's, let alone on the Silver Arrow.
