Raised Again

RAISED AGAIN *A Novella by Daniel Kowalczik* **One wish changed everything. One friendship would become a lifetime.** Mei has always been the responsible one. A university student in Seoul, she prides herself on being prepared for anything. But when a parenting assignment leaves her terrified of caring for a baby, she makes a wish at an old fountain, hoping to learn what it takes to become a good mother. Her best friend, James, makes a wish of his own: to help Mei in any way he can. The fountain grants them both. In a single impossible moment, James is transformed from a nineteen-year-old American exchange student into a helpless infant, stripped of his memories and everything he once knew. Mei's wish comes with its own mysterious consequences, changing her body and placing her in a position she never imagined. With her family beside her, Mei must navigate sleepless nights, unexpected responsibilities, and the heartbreak of watching her closest friend grow up all over again. As the months pass, what begins as a desperate attempt to survive an impossible situation becomes something far more profound. But can a friendship survive when only one person remembers it? And what happens when a wish meant to help someone changes two lives forever? **A heartfelt story of friendship, sacrifice, family, and the extraordinary ways love can transform us.**
