Occupational Nightmare- Officer-involved Shooting

This is my account of my experiences as a Correctional Peace Officer in California that spanned 22 years, beginning in 1984. I worked at the Cal. Institution for Women at Frontera. For those men and women who risk their live protecting society, one can only imagine when faced with a life or death decision when using deadly force and the effect it may have on you. Hopefully, my story might help someone understand this profession.
