Mystery Man Next Door

Emily Carver is a produce grower for local restaurants. Rick Dalton is a fresh face in the quiet neighborhood. His demons follow him everywhere, but for some reason when he meets his next-door neighbor, he can't help but want to be better than the man he's been in the past. An accidental and totally confusing kiss late one night makes Emily and Rick both question their mixed up emotions, and try to explain away the sparks of desire with any excuse they can think of. In the attempt, they become uneasy friends... Emily has to choose whether to trust again after abusive relationships when she desperately needs help, or find herself alone against narrowing options as her family tried to squeeze her back under their control. Rick doesn't consider himself the hero type, but rescuing this broken angel so that she can finally be free just might make him a knight in shining armor after all.
