Making Carolina A Study in Life-Styles Through the Centuries
Usually printed in 3 - 5 business days
This is a historical narrative about the early days in South Carolina as told through the lives of members of my family. I started looking for traces of my mother’s family when I read in a history book that a fellow named Mellichamp had printed counterfeit South Carolina money and it nearly bankrupt the new colony of Savannah. These stories come directly from my family records. However, this is not just a book about my family history. It is a look at history as it unfolded in front of members of my family for over four hundred years. Their reaction to historical events is based on their relationship with their family, their social circumstances and what they believed to be true at that time in their lives.
