When Caddo Semo entered the Durlan Royal Army as a draft subsitute for a banker's son, he never imagined that the event would become the starting point of a sibling rivalry between two half-sisters fathered by him: Rishu Ikanu and Cassie Semo. While a POW, Caddo gets forced by his Udek captors to donate semen for the conception of a baby that they want to conceive for the sake of serving their realm as a super soldier. When the baby turns out to be Rishu, her mom and legal father flee from their country, and the Ikanus eventually settle on Earth, where Caddo has also ended up following his rescue from a Udek POW camp. On Earth, Caddo is a husband in an arranaged marriage that produces Cassie. When she and Rishu become teammates on the Dazabba High girl' cross country team, they become fierce rivals as they each aspire to beat the other for an individual state cross championship. Their rivalry climaxes when they become the two lead contenders in a state championship.
