A Field Guide To Meric Art Ware From Meric Art Studios

The purpose of this book is to provide a guide to identifying the Art Ware of Meric Art Studios. For the collector, Meric art pottery presents a challenge not for the fainthearted. It is hard to find. It is hard to identify. There are no price guides. In fact there is virtually no published information about Meric Art Studios. Hopefully this guide will be of help to those who wish to take on the challenge of collecting this unique and mysterious depression era pottery. The book includes 17 plates from an original 1930's Meric catalog with over 200 different shapes and their shape numbers, 48 pictures of pieces from my collection, along with color pictures of 30 examples of bottoms of pieces. Most importantly there is an index of all presently known Meric shape numbers with the plate number of where the shape is pictured in the book.
