Metafiction is writing that knows it is writing. In SO LET IT BE WRITTEN - A Wizards’ Guide to Metafiction, this already self-aware genre folds in on itself in a magical exploration of what metafiction can teach us about writing, reading, and the strange experience of existing at all. Across essays, short stories, memoirs, and comics, our two wizards, Devin Person (host of This Podcast is a Ritual, hypnotherapist, and wizard extraordinaire) and Eric J. Millar (writer and artist of The Disruption Generator, The No Gods But My Own trilogy, and self-titled Garbage Wizard), lead the reader into a deeper understanding of metafiction and its implications. From groundbreaking works by Italo Calvino and Grant Morrison to a mind blowing theory on how Chat-GPT really works, this is a book that will change the way you look at books forever.
