On Gossamer Wings

Story of a young cop, Patrick Connolly, who was beach sitting, watching the sunset, and pondering his first day as a new Detective. From his location, near the Santa Monica Pier, Patrick is memorized by 2 thermal distortions that are moving above the water. Patrick then sees a Seagull diving to snatch up a fish that has swam close to the water’s surface. The bird strikes something a few yards from the ground, and fall, to the sandy beach. A second later, one of the distortions changes to solid form, and a man fall. Immediately, the second distortion takes solid form and a young woman kneels down next to the man. Cautiously, Patrick approaches to investigate. Within an hour, Patrick discovers that the man’s name is Dovan, his sister is called Verossi, and they come from a world called, Lemparr. The aliens are telepathic, can make themselves invisible, and can soar like an eagle. Soon, the adventure begins when they help Patrick and his partner secretly solve crimes. As usual, many story lines and surprises.
