The Martinique Diversion begins as Germany is invading France at the start of WWII. The government of France suddenly was dealing with the “problem” of hiding the world’s largest reserve of gold bullion from Hitler’s impending takeover. If these vast sums of gold fell into the Nazi's hands, it would surely lead to the complete domination of Europe - and quite likely, the United States. According to reports, some of it was sent overseas to friendly territories; others say the largest portion was lost at sea somewhere off the island of Martinique. What is the truth? Well, this is a work of fiction, so anything and everything may or may not have happened. In short, The Martinique Diversion presents one very real possibility – and to strengthen its credence, the story is built around actual, historical events. There’s also a little bit of romance thrown in for good measure.
