Being in the US Army was NOT the highlight of my life. However, sometimes I wish I had a time capsule. The highlight is my family. Got a cushy college teaching job in a great small city; moved to Europe with 2 tiny tots in hope of broadening their life experiences - and mine. Came back to the US when we discovered they were speaking better Dutch than English. The Martinique Diversion was my first attempt at writing anything longer than a college Master's thesis and it took a couple years. I first wrote it out by hand, then re-wrote it by hand with revisions. I typed it to the "latest" gimmick, a PC with floppy disk. From there I re-typed it on another computer with a hard disk and at last, finally put it in Microsoft's Office word processor. Was it worth it? Not financially, for sure, but I learned a lot and I think the final project is pretty decent. Lübecker! I wrote only 3 times. Hah. I just finished TEN LIVES, available on Amazon. About my cats and it's pretty darn good.
