THE TRUE MEANING OF MALCOLM X

These essays in political philosophy by Don Steele, based upon a "Spiritual Analysis" first published as a series of articles in The Community Voice Newsjournal and later reprinted in book form along with other essays on Malcolm X help us to arrive from a simple political understanding of Malcolm X to a complex "true meaning" understanding of one of the greatest political, spiritual and intellectual leaders of the 20th century. Malcolm X was a principle prominent of independent black leadership in a line of independent political thought and action linked to Marcus Garvey, the other great leader of the 20th century, and Martin Delany, novelist, political theorist and activist of the 19th century.
